Ask any owner how they felt watching their horse win for the first or tenth time! It is hard to describe the thrill of the race let alone when your horse in your colours walks into the winner's enclosure!

Where do I start?

You will almost certainly need an adviser who may be a professional trainer or a bloodstock agent. The trainer would expect to train your horse for you in return for offering his professional services and a Bloodstock Agent will make a charge of usually 5% of the purchase price of your horse for his services.

Most racehorses are purchased at thoroughbred auctions. They play a major role in the bloodstock industry with many of the great racehorses being purchased this way. You can buy with confidence at our sales knowing that you are protected by the conditions of sale and in the safe knowledge that you are paying a price set by market forces as opposed to skilful salesmanship!
