Methods of payment
Purchases will only be released when full payment (inclusive of all charges) has been made in cleared funds to Brightwells. We will accept payment in the following ways:
· Cash to a total of £9,000 in cash or Travellers Cheques.
· Sterling cheque drawn on a UK branch of any bank or building society –unless previously agreed with us all cheques must be cleared before removal of purchased lots.
· Bank Transfer – our bank details are as follows: Barclays Bank plc, 1-3 Broad Street, Hereford, (Tel: 01432 682250) Sort Code: 20-39.64. Account number: 70255165. SWIFT NUMBER: BARCGB22. IBAN: GB30 BARC 2039 6470 2551 65.
· Debit Cards drawn on a UK bank- no charge removal of purchased lots immediate.
· Credit Cards drawn on a UK bank subject to a 3 % (including VAT) surcharge – please note certain cards may not be acceptable – ask at the office before commencement of sale – lots paid for by credit card may be removed immediately.
Condition Reports may be obtained on catalogued items by telephone or email up to 24 hours prior to the sale.
Photographs of items are constantly updated on our website therefore if there is one you would like and it has been omitted, please keep checking. Illustrations may be obtained by post at a cost of £2 per image or digital images may be emailed at no charge.

Bidding:
If you would like to bid in person in the Saleroom, you are required to register for a buyer’s number at our cash office to ensure confidentiality. If you would like to prefill your registration form please download commission form here.
If you are unable to attend the auction there are two alternative methods of bidding. You may leave a commission bid or bid live on the telephone.
Please note that if you have not registered with us before and you would like to bid by either of these methods we will need to see some form of photo identification (this can be supplied by taking a digital photograph or scan of the ID and emailing it to us) and we will need to take the details of a credit or debit card prior to registering you for the sale.
By Commission:
If you are unable to attend the sale, you may leave your bids on commission over the telephone on
01568 611122 or by completing a commission form. This is a maximum amaount that you would be prepared to go up to and we will bid on your behalf.
By Telephone:
If you would like to bid over the telephone with a member of our staff, a limited number of lines are available but must be booked at least 24 hours before the sale and you must be prepared to bid up to at least £200. To arrange telephone bidding please complete a commission form.
Buyer’s Premium of 17.5 % plus VAT is payable on all lots.
Collection of goods is only permitted after payment in full within 7 days of the sale, excluding weekends.
