These sales include Georgian, Victorian and later silver items; antique and more modern jewellery set with precious stones; objets d’art and coins including gold sovereigns, guineas, crowns etc.
Silver and jewellery auctions at Brightwells are well attended by both trade and private buyers. We achieve excellent prices regularly and recently sold a 2.23 carat single stone diamond ring for £13,000. These specialist sales are catalogued by Roger Williams and Caroline Atkinson and usually exceed 400 lots.
Wide promotion through our own website and that of the Antiques Trade Gazette, plus local advertising, gives maximum exposure to many exquisite pieces. In addition to advertising, we hold more personal sale preview evenings prior to our auction. This gives our team an opportunity to get to know both vendors and buyers so that we can continue to improve our service.
