Addington Manor Equestrian Centre CDI & Brightwells Sales Equine Bio-security Policy
Bio-security is defined as the preventative measures, designed to reduce the risk of importing and transmitting equine infectious diseases.
The world health organisation, FEI, BEF, AMEC and Brightwells take bio-security very seriously.
During the CDI and Brightwells sales, FEI 2015 compliant bio-security protocols will be in place throughout.
All equines [both competitive and sales] will be examined by an official veterinarian on arrival & will be issued with temperature charts to be placed outside each stable.
Temperature elevation is an accurate indicator of impending illness and it is obligatory that every equine‘s
Temperature is recorded twice daily throughout it’s time at AMEC.
Please remember that bio-security is only as good as the functioning of its weakest link; the CDI organising committee and Brightwells respectfully request compliance.
