Brightwells is an independently owned limited company, with the shareholding mainly held within the employee base.
With over 140 full and part time staff on its books, the business is run by a board of six Executive Directors, one Non-Executive Director and a Company Secretary. Heads of Department report to the Board, some of whom also sit on the Board.

Based at Builth Wells. Responsible for property valuations, agricultural finance, farm and estate management, expert witness and litigation support, landlord and tenant, compulsory purchase, Single Payment Scheme, property, chattels and livestock auctions. A member of the Valuation Panel for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation plc.
FRICS FAAV Director & Vice Chairman / Equine
His career started as an articled clerk with the company in 1965. Since then Mr Morgan has been involved in many parts of the company assisting in equine, machinery, fine art and the vehicle departments as a valuer and auctioneer, as well carrying out his Professional work in the agricultural department, with valuations of land and farm sales.
BSc Hons (AgricEcon) Joint Managing Director, Head of Department and Auctioneer / 4x4s, Cars & Vans
Richard has worked at Brightwells for twenty-five years, having seen, sold and driven most types of wheeled transport that money can buy. As Department Director, he now oversees all vehicle sales and endeavours to further improve the experience of buying and selling Classic Cars at Brightwells.
MRICS FAAV - Joint Managing Director, Head of Department and Auctioneer / Plant, Machinery & HGV
Nick has been with the company for over 25 years and has been instrumental in the expansion of the Plant, Machinery and HGV Division of Brightwells. Nick has been Auctioneering since 1984, having followed his father into the profession, also carrying out Professional Valuations on Plant, Machinery, Commercial and Agricultural Property.
Finance Director / Finance and Administration
Tony became our Finance Director in 2014 and is responsible for overseeing the whole of the accounting and administration functions of the company.

Joined Brightwells in 1955. Terry Court, together with his late boss, was instrumental in establishing the equine department as the country’s leading equestrian auctioneers. Brightwells now sells more horses and ponies than any other company in Europe and no other firm in the world handles the diversity of horses and ponies.

Based at Hereford. Responsible for property valuations, agent for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation, planning and development and land and property sales.
Company Secretary / Finance and Administration
Company Secretary since 2014. In charge of the day-to-day running of the administrative department, Percy overseas the team responsible for paying out our vendors, paying our suppliers and collecting debtors monies.
