Catalogues

Catalogues will be available three weeks prior to the Sale. If you would like to apply for one please send £7 (cheques payable to Brightwells), with your name and address and a note requesting the Show Jumping Catalogue to Brightwells, Horse & Pony Dept., Easters Court, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 0DE. 

Viewing of Sale Lots
Presentations of the Auction horses in lot number order will take place on the days prior to sale, followed by trial rides and loose jumping displays. If you are interested in trying horses please attend these days and discuss with Richard Botterill any queries regarding the horses.

Payment
Payment must be made by CASH, CARD OR CHEQUE on the day of Sale. (Cheques will only be accepted from regular clients and those who provide a current Bankers Reference). Arrangements can be made for payment by Bank Transfer with our Accounts Department prior to the sale.

For those paying by Credit Card (other than debit and switch cards) a 2.5% (plus VAT) Bankers Charge will be added to all purchasers’ accounts.

Horses will be sold in Pounds (£) Sterling, in addition a 10% (plus VAT) Buyers Premium will be added to all purchaser’s accounts. If the entry is marked VAT then a further 17.5% will be added to the hammer price, if it is marked VHR a further 5.1% will be added.

Purchasers will be responsible for paying for the Vetting Fees of £200 +VAT

Commissions
Should any Prospective Purchaser be unable to attend the Sale, the Auctioneers will personally be pleased to execute Commissions on their behalf, at no extra charge, lots being obtained as cheaply as other bids allow. In this instance irrevocable methods of payment must be in place before commission instructions are enacted.

Vetting of Horses
All horses have two Full Five Stage Vetting’s for acceptance into the Auction:
1. The First Vetting has been carried out within 28 days prior to the Auction.
2. The Second Vetting takes place whilst stabled at the Auction Centre.
3. Blood will be taken from all Auction Horses.

Clearance
All horses and ponies must be removed from the sale complex by 12pm the next day.

Transporters
Licensed transporters maybe in attendance to remove lots on behalf of purchasers.

Insurance
Insurance of purchases may be arranged through the auctioneer’s office on the day of sale.
