The Hay-on-Wye Breeders Sale is an annual Sale traditionally used by the Hill Breeders to disperse their foals born that year. More recently it has been developed into a Sale of all Sections of WPCS Stud Book A, B, C, D & Part Bred.
Though unofficial it does include a large number of Registered Ponies and Cobs and a Show of Pony Foals is held in the morning prior to the Sale. The Sale takes place in Hay-on-Wye Market in Hay-on-Wye - 'the Town of Books'.
This year's Sale will include consignments from Roger Davies (Hafdre Stud), Evan Ll. Evans (Criccieth) and Fiona Livermore (Doylan). In addition we will offer 100 approx Welsh Mountain Ponies from Brian Goodwin (Ivington Stud) that are all descended from the great Bowdler ponies.
