Stalled restoration; largely
complete; engine runs; lots of work already done
The Mk IV Alpine
was introduced towards the end of 1964, its main point of differentiation being
the less overt tail-fin treatment seen in earlier models.
This one was
first registered in November 1964 and has seen a fair amount of work over the
last few years, with welded in rear wing sections. The floor pan still needs
work and the passenger seat is not present, otherwise it looks pretty complete
and our vendor has had it running, albeit briefly with a jump pack and some fuel
down the carb.
With a good parts availability and a sophisticated driving
experience, these Alpines are great cars and this one offers lots of potential
for someone on a tight budget who can wield a welder.
