Owain has been a member of the Brightwells Fine Art team for over twenty years and was appointed as the Head of the Fine Art Department in 2018. A member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Owain is on hand to advise clients on many aspects of Antiques and Fine Art.
Auctioneer/Valuer - Silver/Furniture
Roger has been with company for over 30 years. Although he has a broad knowledge of many facets of antiques and fine art his special interests are English Silver and Furniture. Like many of his colleagues he also studied at Southampton.
Auctioneer/Valuer - Jewellery, Watches, Objet D'Art and Textiles
Caroline joined the team in 2003, graduating from Southampton Solent University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts Valuation in 2006. Caroline is the jewellery specialist and is responsible for cataloguing wristwatches and Objet D'Art. She also takes a keen interest in vintage & antique costume.

James joined Brightwells in 2003. He trained at Christie’s London after leaving university. He has had over 30 years experience as a specialist Picture Valuer and Auctioneer working both in London and the Provinces. During that time he has worked as Head of the Picture Departments at the West Country auctioneers Lawrence Fine Art of Crewkerne (1985-1990), Christie’s, South Kensington (1991-1993) and Hamptons International (1993-2004).
Auctioneer/Valuer - Natural History/Sporting/Militaria/Tribal Art
Daniel joined the company in 2011. He runs the Natural History, Sporting, Tribal Art and Militaria within the Fine Art Sales.
South Wales Valuer
Philip is already well established in South Wales, having worked for the past 25 years for a large auctioneers based in London and Cardiff. He brings with him a wealth of experience on all aspects of fine art and antiques, but is especially well known for his expertise in Welsh, Asian and Tribal Art.
Head of Wine Sales
Paddy has been consulting for Brightwells Wine Auctions since their introduction in November 2006. His knowledge of all types of fine wines and spirits is extensive and varied.
Toby joined Brightwells in 2000 and has played an important role in the development of Specialist Auctions which include Classic and Vintage Cars and Automobilia.
Keith joined our Militaria team in 2010. He is a member of the Orders and Medals Research Society and has been collecting British war medals for 36 years, culminating with the publication in 2004 of his book on World War One officer casualties at Passchendaele. His other interests include Railwayana and memorabilia to the White Star Line, particularly in relation to the Titanic.
Adrian joined our team in 2011 and has been a coin collector and keen metal detector since childhood which gives him a good knowledge of early coins and artefacts.
Nigel has worked at Brightwells for nearly forty years in our salerooms and cash offices.
Sarah provides support and help to staff and customers in the salerooms.
Kieran helps with laying out the lots for sale, setting up the bidding rooms and taking photographs.

It is with great sadness that we write with the news that Frank Morgan has recently passed away. Frank had worked for the company for a touch under 54 years, when he retired at the end of December. He reached into many of our departments and had been a company director, so was well known across the firm, and across Herefordshire society, especially in the north of the county.
