Who knew Ducati made a two-stroke? And a scooter at that!
Scooters were big – figuratively speaking – in the early 1960s and Ducati wanted a slice of the action. The Brio was the result, although with only 50cc and 1.5bhp it was a far cry from the snarling road rockets normally associated with the Ducati marque. Dating rom the first year of production in 1963 and with frame number DM48BR*00016* it may be one of the earliest Brios in existence.
The Brio is in nicely original condition but does have some minor bodywork damage suffered during shipping. It has a NOVA form and a dating certificate from the Ducati Owners’ Club and could be the missing link in any serious Ducati collection.
