The 1959 model Mendola was the last of the sporting two-strokes from Bianchi and the GT is the one to have.
The 125cc engine and four-speed gearbox could push the bike up to 85kph briskly enough in standard form and, being a two-stroke, it is very open to tuning and could make a pretty little café racer.
The Mendola was popular in its day and in production from 1952 so spares should not prove too difficult to find. This example is complete, if a bit scruffy – an invitation to customization?
There is no NOVA form with this bike but it does have an official dating certificate from the Old Italian Bike Register.
