Launched in 1964, the Lambretta J50 was one of the new range of lighter scooters aimed squarely at the lady rider market (you could say that then and not be considered sexist).
Although not burdened by weight (80kg), it was not burdened by power either (1.75hp) giving the J50 a top speed of around 25mph. The powder blue paintwork may have been some consolation.
This 1966 J50 will need some work to make it pretty once more, but it is all straightforward stuff and the scooter appears to be complete, apart from its spare wheel.
