One of the bewildering array of mopeds that were turned out under the Benelli/Motobi banner in the 1970s (and also sold under various names abroad), this Benelli is believed to date from around 1977, but could be earlier.
It’s a typical step-through monotrave moped (single frame tube) with pedals and would have conformed to Italian legislation limiting it to 1.5bhp and a top speed a tad under 30mph.
You will have fun fettling this one and using the research to improve your command of the Italian language. An ideal paddock bike (if it doesn’t upset the horses) or something to hang off the back of the Dodge Xplorer, also for sale in this auction.
At the time of cataloguing, we had not seen any paperwork but we believe there will be a dating certificate nut no NOVA. No reserve, so the highest bid takes it home.
