What can you say about the MGB that hasn’t already been said? It must be one of the most popular classic cars out there; or even in here – there are four Bs offered for sale today.
This 1969 model has a little rarity value in being painted black, and surprisingly good it looks too, with just enough bright work to stop it looking sombre. The paint is looking a little aged but the bodywork looks straight enough. The engine bay could do with a little refreshing, but, all in all, this is a car that could be enjoyed now and tidied up later.
The interior is very tidy with the upholstery looking smart and lived in, but not worn (let’s not use the dreaded ‘P’ word); the hood looks good too and there is even a tonneau cover. This B is fitted with an overdrive which makes motorways and A-roads bearable and has only done 696 miles since 2011 (MOTs to back this up are on file).
Nice touches include stainless steel sill covers, front wheel arch protectors, and a luggage rack for continental touring. It comes with a V5C, seven past MOTs and a current MOT valid until January 2018.
