This Tartan Red MGB was first registered in Tyneside in August 1968, just in time for some late summer top down driving.
Still sporting its original black leather seats with red piping and an odometer that reads just under 49,000 miles, it looks the business. It also has a manual gearbox with overdrive. Although the history file is a little thin it does have 11 MOTs showing it resided in Kelso, Scotland from 2007 until February 2017 when it moved to the Reading area.
Prior to 2007 we understand it was partially restored using a dry state US shell which still appears to be in great condition with no visible corrosion and a good lustre to the paint. Evidently it has also recently had new carpets, black hood and lovely wire wheels with fresh rubber, a new radiator and hoses, and bushes on the front suspension, although unfortunately there are no invoices on file to show this.
Due to have a fresh MOT before the sale, this nice, presentable and highly useable B is an ideal year round driver.
AMENDMENT: MoT not completed in time for sale and 9 old copies
