Full Description

First registered in Sunderland in 1936, this charming Lichfield saloon comes with correspondence stating that it was dismantled and partially restored about 40 years ago but was then put into storage for about 20 years because the then-owner couldn’t pay the restoration bills.

Subsequently acquired by a new owner, it was retrieved from storage and between 1998 and 2000 it was carefully put back together again and the restoration was completed. Much money was spent on the car, all fully detailed in numerous invoices on file, including a full engine rebuild by Available Austins of Arley which cost £1,450.

Very little used since the restoration was completed, the car remains in good condition throughout with a particularly pleasing and original burgundy leather interior. Starting promptly and running nicely as we moved it around for these photos, it comes with an original owner's handbook and copious amounts of technical literature relating to the model.
