On offer here from a deceased estate, this Scimitar has spent the last decade or more languishing in a dry barn in Shropshire and was apparently last on the road in 2003.
A late SE5 featuring the lusty Ford 3.0 V6 with manual overdrive transmission, the car also has a Perspex tilt sunroof and tan vinyl interior with a useful tow hitch at the rear.
As you can see the car is now in need of a fair amount of work to restore it to its former glory, although the job shouldn’t be too hard as there won’t be any rusty panels to deal with thanks to the Scimitar’s GRP body construction.
Appearing to be largely complete (although you will have to make your own minds up on that score) this interesting project will keep someone gainfully employed over the coming months and will make a practical and stylish shooting brake once it is back on the road where it belongs.
Documentation includes a V5C, an old style V5 and an older log book, invoices, one old MOT and a selection of SORN documents from recent years. Offered here at no reserve, an element of the hammer price will be donated to a charity linked with the deceased.
