Full Description

1974 Carlite Casalette

A fine period Carlite; top-quality two-berth caravan; sound floors; awning; outside cover; hitch lock; major service in 2011; a very straight caravan to hook up behind your classic

Produced in December 1974, this classic two-berth Carlite has spent much of its life indoors. It does however come with a very handy weather-proof winter caravan cover so it's sound condition can be maintained even if space is limited.

It comes with an awning - the beading where this attaches to the side of the van remaining in good order. It has a hitch lock with keys, a spare wheel, jack and comes with some interesting paperwork including a bill from Classic Caravans for a major service in 2011 which cost £1,121.

The work included relined brake shoes, a new gas pipe, wiring - including hook-up, the fridge was replaced with customer's own and a new spare wheel was supplied.

The specification includes a manual water pump, gas bottle, fridge, cooker, bathroom with toilet and fold-down sink. The upholstery is clean and smart (some still with its factory plastic covering intact) and the interior in very good condition - it has clearly been well-cared for during its 46 year lifespan.

With the prospect of holidaying in Britain looking more and more attractive, here is a chance to hook up a quality lightweight caravan to your modestly proportioned classic and head for the hills - all for about the same price as a two-week peak season air b&b......
