Full Description
1997 Daimler Double Six Majestic
Long wheelbase V12 six-litre luxury car; extensive service history up to 105,000 miles, sapphire metallic blue; impressive order and includes cherished registration; from a private collection - See AMENDMENT below
Offered here is a rarely available V12 long wheelbase Daimler Majestic, often reserved for royalty, dignitaries and diplomats. This particular example, manufactured in 1995, is recorded on the heritage certificate as being issued to Jaguar Thailand (but not exported) so it is believed it initially carried diplomatic plates on behalf of the Thai Embassy in London, then first registered with the DVLA a little later in 1997.
Having had six previous keepers, it has covered just over 100,000 miles, but it must be noted that this could be only a fraction of what this big six litre V12 is expected to cover and it has obviously been cared for incredibly well by all owners. In fact, the service record is almost entirely complete with 17 stamps from 1997 at 4,475 miles, all the way to 2018 at 105,731 miles. On average, this is every 6,200 miles, so there has not been any shortage of care over the years.
The condition of the interior and exterior certainly reflect this too; the polished walnut veneer detail, the unmarked headlining, the individual lambs wool floor mats and the recently refurbished alloy wheels all looking superb. Features that one would expect from a luxury Daimler, on top of the added five inches of course, include fully heated and adjustable seats all round, the very handy rear drinks/cocktail cabinet, CD changer to the boot, air conditioning and cruise control.
It carries the desirable number 4732 FN, no doubt adding some extra interest towards the end of the auction. The original registration, which has been on the car a few times over the years, was P619 PNV, if you should ever want to change it back. Looking magnificent in her sapphire metallic blue and oatmeal leather interior, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a relatively low production Daimler that has been incredibly well cared for over the years. Perfect for either bringing out on special occasions or perhaps very comfortable continental motoring.
Note - Bidders should be aware that there is some small wear to the lacquer on the bonnet and roof, which has become more obvious after a polish. If you need further clarification on this, please do get in tuch with us.
