Full Description

2005 Porsche Boxster (987)

Smart manual 'box 2.7 987 series Boxster with lovely Metropol blue leather interior showing just 71,900 miles by its two owners

Supplied new in March 2005 by Porsche Centre Cutton Coldfield, this earlier 987 generation of Boxster features the proven 2.7-litre flat-six engine, developing 236bhp driving the rear wheels through manual transmission resulting in a 0-60mpg sprint of just 6.2 seconds - more than enough for some proper fun.

Produced at Porsche's Valmat plant in Finland (502) and finished here in Arctic Silver (L92U) with contrasting Metropol Blue leather interior and blue mohair hood the car benefits from the following options, as found on the option sticker afixed inside the service book - 18inch Boxster wheels 987.1 S (397), CD compartment (424), 12-way adjustable driver (437) and passenger (438) seats with adj. lumbar, coloured Porsche crest wheel centre caps (446), driver's seat memory (538), wind deflector (551), top-tinted windscreen (567), Park assist (635), Bose sound system (680) and leather seats with leatherette rear side (946).

Within the history file, we find the V5C showing just three owners, the current since May 2015, selection of Porsche owner booklets and service book showing 4 stamps plus 1 hand-written entry at 67,760 miles by the Porscheshop plus a further 4 stamps for brake fluid changes, 2 stamps for long-life condition reports, 1 stamp for airbag system check and 3 for Service campaigns (factory recalls).

In addition, we find the current MOT, valid until March 2022 with 3 minor advisories relating to fitment of factory undertrays obscuring the view (?!), tyre wear and slight play in a NSF trackrod end, 3 old MOTs and a selection of invoices including a £678 spend on replacement brake pipe and two front coil springs in August 2014, replacement coil pack in August 2016, discs, pads and 6 new coil packs in Agust 2015 costing £481, brake fluid change in 2016 and more recently, a service at PorscheShop costing £697 in May 2019 including rear wishbones, 4-wheel laser geometery plugs and belts and another for a replacement oil/air seperator breather in October 2019 costing £134 also at PorscheShop.

Looking sharp and ready to be enjoyed, 987 Boxsters are a hoot to drive, fast, capable, comfortable and entirely usable even on an daily basis thanks to the comfortable interior, two useful boot spaces and with just 71,900 miles showing, by 3 owners there's little not to be excited about.
