Full Description
1986 Citroen 2CV6 Special
Current owner 14 years; nearly £2k spent on recent refurbishment; new tyres; jump in and go
First registered in August 1986, this 2CV has had just one registered keeper since 2006 but has been off the road for most of that time. A good file of invoices and some notes in a book show that much money was spent on the car in 2004/2005 (new clutch; king pins; brakes; wheel bearings; wiper motor; heated rear window etc) before it was parked up in 2008.
In 2019/2020 it was subject to a major bout of recommissioning with bills on file amounting to over £1,900 during this period. This included: new tyres; battery; alternator; electronic ignition; voltage regulator; plugs and leads; full service; new throttle cable; carburettor; fuel pump and filters; heater pipes; oil feed pipes air intakes; exhaust etc. New floor sections were also fitted along with new front and rear bumpers.
In July 2020 it successfully passed its MOT and was returned to the road, the vendor reporting that it is now fighting fit and ready for a new owner to enjoy. Starting promptly and running nicely as we have moved it around on site, it also comes with three old MOTs and an original owner’s handbook.
