Full Description
1985 Ford Capri 2.8i MkIII
For restoration, interesting project with useful scope; desirable 2.8 V6 and decent interior; off the road since 2010
Dating from February 1985, this later model MkIII features the 2.8 Cologne V6 and 5-speed manual transmission and has been in storage along with Lot 90 for some time.
Showing 99,207 miles in the hands of its 8 owners, the current since 2017 the car is ripe for restoration. Finished in traditional Ford white with grey Recaro interior the car was running prior to being delivered, but a split fuel hose prior to delivery put a stop to that so we are selling it as a non-runner requiring significant restoration/recommissioning both externally, internally and mechanically as a result. Dont be put off, values of Capri's have rocketed of late and there is scope for this car to be restored, or used as a donor for other projects.
Bidders please note the car was subject to an insurance loss, Category C in April 1991. Within the history file, we find only the V5C.
