Full Description

1998 Rover Mini 1.3i

Investment potential Rover built Mini with proven 1275cc engine showing just 28,360 miles with 11 service stamps and 3 owners

Dating from August 1998 this tidy little Rover Mini 1.3i is presented in attractive Metallic Kingfisher blue with contrasting Balmoral trim which features 'stone beige' vinyl and cloth checked interior (similar to that famous Burberry pattern) with matching cream vinyl door cards and splendid burr walnut dash.
Showing just 28,360 miles from new in the hands of three owners, the car presents well with just a few minor blemishes that seem to afflict almost every Mini we see with minor localised bubbling around the lower corner of the driver’s side windscreen. The paint still shines and the pepper pot alloy wheels look relatively unmarked wearing good tyres and the interior is particularly pleasant and unworn.

Within the history file, we find the V5C, owner’s pack with manual and service book revealing 11 stamps, the last in July 2016 at 27,676 miles and notes two Safety Recalls, A059 in May 1999 and A097 in October 2001.

In addition, a printed note on file refers to some works carried out following time in storage including a new clutch, radiator, electric fan unit, throttle cable, thermostat and heater matrix (undated), plus some 16 old MOTs, the current MOT valid until April 2022 with no advisories recorded. The last few MOT mileages showing but a few hundred miles covered between tests, with none since 2018 until the recent one and a good file of invoices from new including original purchase invoice to a lady for a total of £9,535.
Invoices of note include £1,033 spent in December 2015 on 38 hours of labour to make repairs to the inner wings, new front panel, new rear bumper and subsequent paint work and the last stamped service in 2016 for £230.
A tidy little car with few owners and low mileage crying out to be used or hidden away in a bubble as a future investment.
