The 30th Standardbred Sale Report
The 30th Sale found 35 horses new homes and achieved a higher Sale Average than in 2018, indeed the average price increased by nearly £150 on last year’s figure.
Top price was the Arts Conquest half-brother to Matticulous who had won in Philadelphia the night previous to the Sale in 1:51. Acclimatize, who is another of the Another Mattie (US) legacy consigned by Gareth Price, was knocked down at £20,000 to leading trainer Alexis Laidler who was bidding on behalf of a great supporter of the Sport Raymond Huschka.

The second spot went jointly to the stables of Ayr and Richard Walker. Ayr Standardbreds offered Ayr Camelot by Hasty Hall and Richard Walker offered Wasntexpectingthat by Arts Professor, both of which were sold for £14,000. Mr Foody taking the last bid for the Ayr horse, and Claire Fletcher taking the last bid for the Walker’s horse.
Highest priced yearling filly went to Rhyds Eclipse (another Hasty Hall offspring) and she went over the water to Gavin Murdoch from Belfast. Eclipse was knocked down for £12,000.

Top price horse in and out of training went to the James Evans’ consigned Rogue Warrior. We expect to see him campaigning next season for Mr Holden of Stoke on Trent.
Many thanks to all those that supported the Sale both seller and buyers; we look forward to seeing our sale graduates winning on the track next year.
