General information - The MAN HX is a range of tactical trucks specially developed to meet military needs. The MAN HX60 military truck has a 4x4 configuration and are designed for off-road application. The HX comes in various versions and replaced the DAF T244 4-tonne trucks. It has a payload capacity of 6 t and was used to transport troops and general cargo, as well as for other applications, it can also tow trailers on some versions

Fitted with an all-steel solid modular cab, it provides seating for a driver and two passengers. There is an observation hatch on the roof, and also includes separated windscreens, which are designed for easier replacement and installed vertically in order to minimize light reflections.

The MAN HX range is based on the automotive components of commercial MAN TGA heavy truck range. The HX60 is powered by a MAN turbocharged diesel engine, developing 326 hp. It meets EURO IV emission requirements. The engine is located behind and under the cab and this feature allowed a reduction in the height of the vehicle. The engine location also protects radiator from blockage with mud. All models are fitted with ZF 12-speed automatic gearbox. Maximum road speed is electronically limited to 90 km/h. Without preparation the MAN HX60 fords water obstacles up to 0.75 m deep and the vehicle can operate in climatic conditions, ranging from -32°C to +50°C.
