1993 Land Rover Discovery I V8i
Time-warp 40,373 mile 4-owner 3.5 V8 manual 3-door Disco carefully stored since 2014 - find another?
Supplied new by Lex Land Rover of Bury, Lancs in September 1993 this now hard to find and rare to see 3-door Discovery comes to us in desirable V8 PI form.
Finished in blue with the original period graphics intact, the Disco rides on its original 16-inch steel wheels shod with grippy Kumho tyres. Inside, we find two-blue cloth interior and a simple spec featuring wind up windows, no-sunroof (a blessing!), digital clock and original radio.
Under the bonnet, we see the beating heart, Rover’s famous 3.5 litre EFi V8 engine mated here to 5-speed manual transmission driving all-4 wheels.
Tucked away for the last 5 years, this gem and rarity shows just 40,373 miles covered by its 4-owners, the current since May 2014. In addition, we find the owner’s pack with service book revealing just 2 stamps dated in 1994 at 1,045 miles and then 2005 at 22,872 miles. In addition, the file includes 2 old MOTs and a selection of historic invoices dating back to 1998 for routine maintenance and parts.
The current MOT is valid until November 2022 and shows just 1 minor advisory for an OSR bump stop missing but also confirms it was off-the road between 2014/5 and November this year when it was pulled out of storage and presented for MOT with only c.1,000 miles covered between tests. We did note on moving the vehicle around for these images it sounded like a heat shield is rattling on the exhaust system somewhere.
A fine opportunity to acquire a smart, low mileage 3-door Disco 1 V8 – an uncommon event.
