A spectacular result for Brightwells, with every lot sold and approximately £200,000 spent on only 5 lots.
Brightwells latest Vintage & Classic Commercials Auction concluded with an outstanding 100% sale rate, with every single lot successfully sold in what proved to be a true white-glove auction.
The sale generated particularly strong interest from collectors and enthusiasts, with more than £200,000 spent across the auction and several notable results achieved.
Leading the way was the exceptional very well known1929 Scammell 100 Tonner, one of just two built and understood to be the only survivor in running and driving condition, which sold for an impressive £138,000.
Other highlights included a rare 1929 Scammell Rigid Six-Wheeler, selling for £22,512, the pre-war 1939 Latil Mk I Road Tractor at £16,128, a 1961 AEC Mandator Mk V at £10,080, and a 1955 Ford Thames ET6 which achieved £9,856.
With every lot sold, strong bidding throughout and over £200,000 committed by buyers, the results underline the continued strength of the market for significant historic commercial vehicles.
