Showing 129,447 miles, this 1996 Land Rover
Defender 110 Station Wagon is powered by the renowned 2,495cc 300Tdi diesel
engine and finished in classic white. First registered in December 1996, the
current V5C records six former keepers, with the vehicle having been in the
vendor's ownership since August 2023.
Few vehicles have earned the reputation of the
Defender. Combining rugged simplicity, exceptional practicality and legendary
off-road capability, the 300Tdi-powered models are widely regarded as some of
the most dependable and sought-after Defenders ever produced. Their ease of
maintenance, durability and strong enthusiast following continue to make them
highly desirable today.
This example has benefited from significant
recent expenditure, with numerous new components fitted within the last 1,000
miles. These include a full Autosparks wiring loom comprising the engine, main
and dash looms, a new standard-specification Fox Revolution turbocharger,
upgraded timing belt and pulleys, clutch master and slave cylinders, starter
motor, battery, glow plugs, glow plug relay, valve stem seals, fuel lift pump,
vacuum pump and brake master cylinder. Additional replacement items include
track rod ends, rear brake discs, front brake lines, a front wheel bearing,
injector pump seals, door rubbers, filters, washer jets and various lighting
components.
The
vehicle also benefits from a galvanised chassis and a relatively recent exhaust
system. A new wiper switch is included, while wiring for a fitted winch remains
in place, although the vendor advises the winch controls, speakers and other
aftermarket additions have not been reconnected following installation of the
new wiring loom, as they did not wish to modify the new
wiring.
The
history file includes the current V5C, an MOT valid until September 2027, seven
previous MOT certificates and a collection of invoices supporting the extensive
maintenance undertaken. Combining the highly desirable 300Tdi engine, a
galvanised chassis and considerable recent expenditure, this Defender represents
an excellent opportunity to acquire a highly usable and extensively refreshed
example of Land Rover's iconic utility
vehicle.
