Driven 25 miles to the auction; recently serviced, transferable
Herefordshire registration
A smartly presented 1935
Austin 10 Lichfield, registered VJ 8003, a Herefordshire-issued number which is
understood to be transferable.
The car spent
approximately 25 years in storage before being recommissioned by the current
vendor. Recent work has included a service by G L Classic Cars of Hereford, with
an invoice for almost £1,000 on file. This covered general servicing,
replacement hoses, carburettor cleaning and timing adjustment, a new battery
with isolator, spark plugs and oil. New tyres and inner tubes have also been
fitted all round.
The Austin has since been used
regularly enough to demonstrate its roadworthiness, having been driven
approximately 25 miles to the auction. The vendor also reports that the opening
sunroof is in full working order.
Finished in
beige with black wings and wheels, the car presents well in the photographs,
with a particularly tidy engine bay and dashboard. The oil-pressure gauge
appears to show positive pressure at idle.
Having
recommissioned and enjoyed the car, the vendor is now looking to pass it on to
its next owner.
