1979 MGB Roadster
Used sparingly since 2011; a
few jobs to do; ideal starter classic; runs and drives
First
registered in August 1979, this rubber bumper roadster is understood to have
been fully restored about 13 years ago and has been used sparingly
since.
Now, still showing under the 100,000 mile figure, she runs and
drives and despite having had the engine tuned and some repairs made to the
overdrive in 2016, we are advised that the o/d still may need some attention.
Its MOT history online goes steadily back to 2011 and it comes with a
current ticket which expires in August 2021. Of course, it doesn’t need one
these days but its nice to have that reassurance.
Cosmetically, she
could do with a little tender loving care here and there, but the metallic green
paintwork is essentially good and the hood appears to be in good order
too. The interior is very respectable complete with wood rim
Nardi-style steering wheel and there is even a little boot rack to pop on
the back for those trips down to the beach! Regular use needed by new keeper.
