1970 MGB Roadster
Mid-'80s restoration around
a new Heritage Shell; Goldseal engine; Spax suspension; from long term
ownership; a lovely Roadster ready for immediate use
Purchased by
the vendor's business back in 1990, this very smart example has been well cared
for since, principally by Bath-based MGB specialsists DGM Bodyworks. Shortly
after acquisition, it passed to the vendor's private ownership. The
current V5C shows just three previous owners in total.
Multiple bills on
file show regular care and maintenance, dating back to 2004. When purchased, the
car had been fully restored around a new Heritage Shell - some time in the
mid-1980s. The odometer shows just 13,282 miles which is believed to have been
covered since the restoration, the 10 old MOTs on file indicating that just 800
miles have been covered since 2004, which explains its inclusion in the sale
today. It has also been fitted with a Goldseal engine at some time in the
past.
The car comes with some nice additional features such as
a mohair hood, upgraded leather seats and a wood rim wheel. This is a well
presented car which has seen little use since its full rebuild around a new
shell and looks excellent value at the catalogue estimate.
