1989 Ford Sierra XR 4x4

Showing 85,000 miles; previous keeper owned since 2009; respectable looking XR4x4 although may need some cosmetic work completed; desirable 2.9 Cologne V6 engine

This XR 4x4 was first registered in March 1990 and sold later that year by Ford Dealers, E & G Charlesworth Ltd in Doncaster, to a local chap who kept the car until 2003. On file is a copy of the original bill of sale accompanied by a handwritten log from the original owner detailing work done on the car until 2001 when it had clocked up 68,000 miles. This documents numerous oil changes and standard maintenance ending with the gearbox being fully re-conditioned in July of that year.  
From 2004, this Tasman blue Sierra has had three further registered keepers, each retaining the car for approximately five years. There are no invoices on file for this period so based on the current mileage, we have to assume that it did not cover much distance in this period, which may explain the above average interior. The MOT history suggests that it was put back into regular use in 2010, showing 81,000 miles and given tests fairly regularly until its most recent in November last year, showing one or two advisories, which can be checked online. This incudes deterioration to the nearside front outer drive shaft joint, an indicator switch fault and some slight perishing to the tyres so nothing that is going to break the bank.  
We believe that the car was recently sent to have this work corrected but due to illness, the car is now being offered for sale. Cosmetically, as we have mentioned, the interior is good, although there are some bodywork issues that need completing, most obviously the external rubber trim, which although is present, is not currently attached. A great opportunity to acquire one of these V6 XR 4x4’s at relatively little cost.
