1977 MGB GT
A good usable starter-classic;
Minilite-style wheels, Webasto; o/d; driven 40 miles to the sale; classic
motoring on a tight budget
First registered in May 1977, this
mid-period rubber bumper BGT looks to be in good usable order having driven well
over 40 miles to the sale.
The receipts on file indicate a major overhaul
way back in 1992 and a paint invoice from 2017 - when we believe the current
coat was applied. This has been done in a workman-like manner, which won't be
winning any prizes but is perfectly servicable and could be further improved
with some applied elbow-grease.
Being a late-ish model, it comes with an
overdrive and also has a Webasto sunroof for those sunny days to come. The
interior would clean up well although there are a few trim parts on the driver's
doors that need to be sourced - an easy job of course on any MGB!
The
bodywork looks in sound order, its most recent MOT expiring in June 2018 which
showed no advisories. The car has covered a mere 260 miles since and has
been kept under cover which bodes well.
There are five old MOTs on file,
so we can't confirm the odometer reading of 91,400 miles is correct, but see no
reason to doubt it.
If you are looking for a good 'user and improver'
this could be your car. It has a good spec, solid body and probably the
best supply of affordable parts to back up the ownership
experience.

- Put in your highest bid you would be prepared to go to.
- Bidding at the last moment may leave you disappointed. Any earlier bid is always taken first, so doing this may only push someone else up and prevent you from becoming the highest bidder.
- No bids can be placed once the time remaining ends, therefore do not delay.
