Dating from August 1993 this cool Cooper is somewhat unusual in black and looks all the better for it, combined with the Union Jack atop, white bonnet stripe adorned with John Cooper’s signature, white pin stripe to the sides, quad spot lights up front, shining Minilite wheels, black interior with red piping and walnut dash. Fitted with the proven 1,275cc A+ under the hood and 4-speed manual box,the car sounded great, with a sporty, throaty note from its single central exhaust as we moved it around for these shots. Showing just 76,642 miles the car looks to be in good order with but a few cosmetic marks to the paint. Within the history file we find the V5c showing 5 former owners to the current of 2 years, owner’s manual and 8 old MOTs in addition to the current valid until January 2022 which recorded 2 advisories for slight play in both front wheel bearings. This looks a tidy usable example ready to be enjoyed. Who doesn’t love an old-skool Mini?
