1986 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit

Only 71,800 miles with 23 services to date; unusually smart example with a really fabulous interior

This lovely Silver Spirit was supplied new by Lex Mead of Maidenhead in January 1986 to first owners Burton Group PLC of London and has had just four further owners since.
It has covered only 71,777 miles to date and comes with an excellent service history comprising 23 stamps in the book, the vast majority at RR main agents, and the last at 69,426 miles in July 2018 – giving an average service interval of just 3,120 miles. There are also a few bills for more recent maintenance, including an air con regas in July 2020.
Finished in Acrylic White with a light blue Vaumol leather interior, the car has clearly led a pampered existence and remains in very good condition throughout. The cabin is a particularly nice place to be and you would never guess that it has been carrying passengers for over 35 years now, the only real signs of use being some minor wear to the driver’s seat and some cracked varnish on the driver’s door trim, as shown in the photos.
Starting instantly and driving beautifully as we have moved it around on site, it comes with all its original handbooks, five old MOTs, sundry invoices and a current MOT that runs to June 2021 with no advisories recorded.
These Silver Spirits are wonderful cars to travel in, turning even the most humdrum journey into an occasion, and it is quite remarkable just how cheap they are today. This strikes us as a particularly good example and you simply can’t go wrong at the modest guide price suggested. Go on, you only live once…
