Purchased new by Gareth Southgate; fresh no advisory
MOT; summer fun
A useful budget classic if ever we saw one, this
two-litre Audi 80 Convertible was purchased new by Gareth Southgate,
Middlesborough and Villa player and England manager, back in 1996.
He
paid nearly £26,000 for the car, which included metallic paint, a power hood,
10-spoke alloys and leather upholstery as extras.
It has enjoyed seven
further owners, the vendor acquiring the car in 2014. There are a number of
invoices for maintenance over the years and the car carries a no advisory MOT
until April 2022. It has behaved itself impeccably since being onsite and
appears solid and sound, if a little travel worn here and there as shown in the
pictures. The odometer registers just 106,000 miles which means it probably
hasn't reached its half-life yet so there is plenty more enjoyment to be had
from this Cabriolet.
On offer at No Reserve, the highest bid on the day
buys this Modern Classic with interesting football history.
