1995 Mercedes-Benz E220 Coupe (C124)
Tidy
face-lift example with mushroom hide, walnut trim and auto 'box; elegant
pillarless coupe
Supplied new in August 1995 this later model C124
Series pillarless coupe is finished in attractive Tourmaline Green with
mushroom hide interior and walnut trim and sits on its original spec 8-hole
15inch alloy wheels and wears a discreet boot spoiler. Fitted here with
the more economic 2.2 litre four cylinder M111.960 engine developing 148bhp in
the coupe driving the rear wheels via 4-speed automatic transmission with Sports
and Economy modes.
Within the history file we find the V5C, owner's pack
and service book showing the car was supplied new by SMAC Continental Ltd of
Essex who carried out the PDI and following first service with a further 4
stamped services all by Mercedes main dealer Lancaster Lakeside, the last in
January 1999 at 36,554 miles.
There are no invoices on file for
subsequent service or maintenance work, but given the car's excellent general
state we don't doubt it has been looked after by its 6
former owners, the current since August 2020. In
addition, we also have the V5C, old V5C, 3 old MOTs, invoices for MOTs and
current MOT valid until November 2021 with no advisories recorded. A look
at the MOT history shows the car has covered little more than 2,500 miles since
2013 and currently shows 131,227 miles.
These C124 Series Mercs still
look sharp and hail from the era of serious quality in a Mercedes - the current
condition of both the exterior and interior testament to that.
