1991 Nissan Figaro
Finished in Emerald Green
to denote 'Spring' with punchy 1.0 turbo engine and 3-speed auto
box; room to improve or use as is
Dating from 1991
this funky little Kei car was imported from Japan to the UK in January 2008
since when it has had only four UK owners, the current since April
2015.
It is finished in one of the four colours available, each
representing a season, here Emerald Green to represent Spring. Under the bonnet
we find the turbocharged MA10ET 987cc four cylinder engine which gives
surprising pace, driving the front wheels via 3-speed automatic with O/D.
Inside, as with all Figaro’s, it is trimmed in Ivory leather with air
conditioning and switchgear styled akin to a 1950’s European car.
Showing
138,654Km (86,155 miles) the car has evidently been used and enjoyed and would
no doubt benefit from some cosmetic improvement given the fade on the rear
haunches. That aside, it is still eminently usable and comes with a current MOT
valid until April 2022 showing five advisories worth considering, but
nothing unusual for a Figaro of this age.
Within the history file we find
only the trade section of the V5C so the new owner will need to apply to DVLA
online at a cost of £25 which is quick and simple to do. In addition, there is a
VOSA MOT history print-out, original Japanese auction details, Japanese
instruction booklet (with pictures) for how to release the retractable soft top,
service schedule information, nine old MOTs and a selection of older
maintenance bills.
