1996 BMW 325 TDS (E36)
Uncommonly unmolested
and rare to see 2.5 turbodiesel automatic saloon showing just 75,604 miles by
its 4 owners, the current since 2002
Supplied
new in February 1996 by Lesley H Trainer & Son Limited BMW , this smart E36
generation 325 TDS saloon comes to us in SE spec and is finished in attractive
Montreal Blue and sits on its original 15-inch 15-hole flat face alloy wheels
with factory mudflaps and has remained remarkably unmolested.
Inside, we
find charcoal cloth trim, electric windows front and back, electric sunroof, OBC
(on-board trip computer), front fog lights, central locking, electric mirrors
and Sony CD player. The car shows just 75,604 miles which is uncommonly low for
a car of this type and age - it presenting very well both inside and
out.
Under the bonnet, we find the proven M51D25 6-cylinder turbo diesel
engine with inter-cooler producing 141bhp driving the rear wheels via 5-speed
automatic transmission with Sports, Economy and Winter modes giving excellent
torque and admirable economy.
Within the history file, we see the V5C
showing 3 former keepers to the current of 19 years, the owner’s pack with
service book revealing an impressive 18 stamps including PDI, the most recent in
September 2020 at 75,565 miles. The last 9 stamps are all by the same garage and
the previous 9 are all by BMW main dealers (supplying dealer & Dick Lovett)
plus a selection of invoices for routine service and maintenance works
undertaken dating back to 1997, 4 old MOTs and current valid until September
2022 with no advisories recorded.
A glance at the MOT history indicates
the car has covered less than 500 miles in the last 6 years. Ready to be
enjoyed, its unlikely to find another 325 TDS in this order with under 80,000
miles on the clock – one to be cherished.
