2004 Mini Cooper S
Tidy supercharged Cooper S
in silver with black roof, leather interior and 6-spd manual 'box - lots of
economic fun
Supplied new in January 2004 by Lister
Park Ltd of Bradford this cool little R53 series Mini comes to us in exciting
Cooper S guise featuring the pokey supercharged 1.6 litre Tritec four-cylinder
delivering 168Bhp to the front wheels via 6-speed manual Getrag transmission
offering 0-62mph in just 7.2 seconds – quite the hot hatch at launch in
2001.
Finished in silver with contrasting black roof, sills, arch lips,
bonnet scoop edge and wing mirrors the car rides on its original 8-spoke 17inch
alloy wheels reminiscent of the Classic Mini ‘MiniLite’ alloy
wheel.
Inside, we find half black leather/cloth interior with silver dash
trim and the usual array of retro toggle switches and large gauges. The spec
includes air con, front fog lights, traction control, after-market Tevion
radio/CD player with remote, electric windows and mirrors.
The history
file includes the V5C showing 7-former keepers to our lady owner, the owner’s
pack and service book revealing 7 stamps, the last at 77,246 miles by Glanmule
Garage of Newtown in January 2021 plus additional Mini service voucher book
showing 2 further stamps in 2004 and 2007.
In addition, to further
support the 77,435 miles recorded we find a selection of invoices including for
its most recent service and others for routine service and parts purchase (inc.
replacement key) along with 4 old MOTs plus the current valid until October 2022
recording 8 minor advisories (check online at check-mot.history.gov.uk and enter
the reg).
A tidy example offering economic performance in a neat and
stylish package.
