Pre-facelift 'narrow-body' version with leather interior, auto box and more economic 1.9 petrol engine showing just 86,350 miles

Dating from August 1998 this earlier, narrow body pre-facelift Z3 Roadster comes to us in attractive Atlanta Blue with matching blue Mohair soft-top and rides on its original 16” five-spoke alloy wheels.

Under that shapely bonnet, we find the 1.9 litre M44B19 four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 138bhp and 180NM of torque, driving the rear wheels here, via four-speed automatic transmission with Sport/Economy and Manual modes giving ample performance for most with a nod towards economy.

Inside, we find black leather seats with electric seat base adjustment, traction control, walnut dash trim, power steering, ABS, electric windows, electric mirrors, digital clock, BMW Business radio/CD player and manual hood mechanism. 

Showing 86,504 miles, the car presents well bar a few marks and small area of lacquer peel (see images) with a very nice roof and tidy interior.  The car’s history file includes the V5C revealing just four former keepers to our vendor who has enjoyed the car sparingly for the past year and a bit, two old MOTs and current MOT valid until March 2023 recording just one advisory for worn rear tyres.  The vendor has since replaced both rear tyres this April and also serviced the car in March 2022 although this is only noted on an MOT rather than supported by an invoice.

Buyers please note, this pretty little Z3 was the subject of an insurance claim category-S in November 2020 but has since been repaired by our vendor, who has supplied us with pictures of the damage to the car (which looks to have been limited to a cracked nearside bumper, headlight and small dent to the bonnet edge).

Ready to be enjoyed, these earlier, narrow body Z3’s are arguably the prettier cars and, as featured that famous Bond scene – it’s even the same colour as the movie car and is on offer here at No Reserve so the highest bid takes it away.
