Dating 
from March 1984 this lovely old R107 series 280SL is finished in cream and sits 
upon its original 14” ‘Mexican hat’ alloy wheels and features a nicely 
contrasting brown hood with removable colour coded factory 
hard-top.
Inside, we find tan MB-tex and cloth 
sports checker seats, walnut trim, heated rear screen (for the hard top), 
electric windows, manual roof operation, 2 keys for the soft-top/hard top 
removal/fitment, period Blaupunkt Cambridge SQM39 radio/cassette player and 
electric passenger mirror. 
Under the bonnet, 
we find the popular and more economic 2.8 litre six-cylinder engine with Bosch 
K-Jetronic fuel injection which developed 182bhp driving the rear wheels via 
four-speed automatic transmission.  
The history file for this tidy and 
appealing example which shows 95,731 miles includes the owner's manual, current 
V5C revealing seven former keepers to the current of some 24 years, old style 
V5C, two older style V5’s, selection of bills for parts and maintenance plus 
seven old MOTs dating back to 1997 at which time the car had covered 82,708 
miles and the current MOT valid until January 2023 recording no 
advisories.
The MOT history shows the car to 
have been in storage off the road for the last five years, the mileage only 
increasing by c.600 miles in this time. The invoices on file show the car to 
have been serviced in late 2020 along with fitment of new exhaust gaskets and 
manifold bolts and more recent minor remedial works undertaken by marque 
specialists the SL Shop in January 2022.
