1979 MGB GT
No
Reserve
Proceeds to the Mary Stevens Hospice; running and
driving; for recommissioning; one owner from new
Purchased through
Wollastone Garage in Stourbridge and first registered by them on 1st October
1979, it was part exchanged for the owner's 1976 model plus £2,300....and has
remained in her care ever since.
The odometer shows just over the 100,000
miles, which we assume to be first time round. The car was last on the road in
2016 and the MOT history shows that its indicated mileage hasn't changed since
2009, so likely the odometer stopped working then - although it had seen
little use during that period so won't be far out.
There is work to do,
the seats could do with new bases, there is a dent in the driver's
wing and some areas of rust showing through, but overall, its not too bad and
would be an easy recommissioning project, especially as it has been running and
driving since a new battery has been fitted.
While with us, it
developed a coolant leak so will need a bit of work before running
once more, although a good weekends' hard graft would transform it.
On
offer at No Reserve, proceeds are being donated to The Mary Stevens Hospice
so dig deep and bid large....
