1987 Toyota Hilux 4X4
Rare as you like petrol
Generation Four Hilux; recent new clutch; lots of MOT history
Solid
as you like and despite their reputation for indestructability (thanks in part
to Top Gear), a rare sight on the roads today, this Gen Four Hilux
is now 35 years old and was acquired by the vendor in 2021 for a tidy
sum from a gent in Surrey.
Showing some 161,000 miles on the clock, it
has just had a new clutch kit and slave cylinder fitted by North Road Garage in
Builth Wells - authorised Toyota dealer. This cost £795, the truck being driven
to us some 30 miles for the sale.
Its current MOT runs until September
2023 and it has clearly had much attention over the years, the underbonnet
area looking particularly good.
There are some obvious signs of corrosion
on the rear arches of the pickup body, but it would be easily contained and the
chassis structure looks sound. For the serious pick-up collector, this unusual
petrol powered truck probably has a million or so miles left in it and you won't
find another any time soon. Get bidding.....
