1985 BMW 528i (E28)

Owned by our vendor for the last eight years; often used for 300 mile round trips; recent Type 2 BMW service; fitted recently with new rear brake discs, reconditioned fuel injectors; in remarkable condition for its year/mileage

First registered on 1st June 1985 and often considered as 1st class 1980s motoring.

Invoices and MOTs go all the way back to 1992, when the car had covered 55,000 miles. Appears to have almost been in constant use since, now showing 156,500 miles.

Originally sold by Cooper BWM in Thames Ditton, Surrey. Continued to be serviced by them and other BMW specialists until 1999.

Changing hands six times over the years before being purchased by our vendor some eight years ago.

Numerous invoices are on file for maintenance over the years but more recently in 2016/2018, some welding was needed to the offside rear inner and outer sills, a second hand prop shaft was fitted and re-conditioned fuel injectors in 2021.

We are told it also had a type 2 BMW service last year and new rear brake discs, although we are unable to see invoices for this.

The most recent MOT was done in July this year with only one advisory regarding the handbrake needing some adjustment. We are told it also had an oil and coolant change at this time.

Looking at the condition of the interior, it is hard to believe this BMW has covered so many miles. Surely one to buy….
