Higher power Gen-1 3.8-litre 355bhp example with automatic/tiptronic box; electric soft-top

Supplied new by Porsche Centre West London in December 2005 this cool looking Generation 1 911 Carrera 4S comes to us finished in Atlas Grey metallic (LM7X) with black Mohair soft-top and sits upon 19” five-spoke alloy wheels painted dark grey/black.

Under the engine cover, we find the larger 3.8-litre flat-six of the more powerful ‘S’ model, pumping out 355bhp driving all-four wheels via automatic/tiptronic transmission (249).  As the 4S model, the car also features the wider body, lowered suspension with PASM (adj. dampers), upgraded braking system, sports exhaust and bi-xenon lights over the ‘standard car’.

In addition, the spec of this example includes silver faced stop watch (026), auto dim mirrors (267), rain sensor (268), heated seats (342), tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel (432), 12-way electrical seat inc. lumbar  (437 & 438), coloured Porsche crested wheel caps (446), automatic speed control (454), tyre pressure monitor (482), driver’s electric seat memory (538), top tinted windscreen (567) and navigation (610).

The history file for the car, which indicates 108,056 miles includes a partial V5C revealing seven former keepers to the current, the service booklet recording eight stamps, the last in May 2022 at 106,750 miles by Car tech Solutions of Loanhead plus a further four stamps for brake fluid changes.

In addition, the file includes a selection of bills for works undertaken including a replacement reconditioned automatic transmission and torque convertor in August 2017 at 90,714 miles at a cost of £3,360, and another dated 2014 for a £2010 spend with JZM Porsche for replacement front suspension parts, and another £3,309 spend in 2012 on replacement after market cats, replacement oil separator, new gear shifter cables and service at 54,719 miles.

We also find five old MOTs and the current MOT valid until December 2022 with no advisories recorded.

Buyers please note, the electric releases for the bonnet and engine cover look to have broken and been pushed through the trim so we have been unable to open either from within the car, but the remote key will open the bonnet.  The car also produces a bit of blue smoke on start up.
