2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante
Pretty
convertible 5.9 V12 Vantage in attractive colour scheme showing just
54,700 miles - glamerous open top motoring
Supplied
new by Stratstone Aston Martin of London in July 2000 this striking, and still
achingly beautiful DB7 comes to us Vantage Volante guise and is finished in Skye
Silver with contrasting Black Mohair soft-top and sits upon its original 18”
10-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the long, sculpted
bonnet, we find the potent, and sonorous 5.9 litre AMV12 engine which develops a
whopping 420Bhp and 542Nm of torque driving the rear wheels here, via five-speed
ZF automatic/tiptronic transmission which offers a zero to sixty time of just
5.2 seconds and top speed of 165mph (limited).
Showing just 54,756 miles this example has seen only limited summer
use by our vendor, a serial Aston owner.
Inside the cost cockpit, we find embossed black leather sports seats with
electric adjustment inc. driver lumbar, walnut trim, heated seats, red starter
button, electric windows, electric roof, AC, traction control and steering wheel
mounted gearchange buttons for tiptronic mode.
The car’s history file includes the V5C recording just three former
keepers, the owner’s manual with service section revealing nine stamps all Aston
dealers, the last in November 2007 at 47,848 miles.
In
addition, the file also includes two approved used Aston Martin warranty and
inspection sheets dated October 2002 at 32,827 miles at a cost of some £74,000
from Aston Martin Mayfair and the second at 41,066 miles by Murray Aston Martin
in September 2003.
Furthermore, we also find 11
old Mot certificates and a selection of bills for parts and routine maintenance
dating back to 2002 including a bill for £2312 in 2005 which included a new
gearbox ECU and also in 2005 a gearbox (and torque converter) repair costing
£1962 by Mackie automatic transmissions Ltd. More recently we find a bill for a
new battery in 2020 and service invoice dated August 2017 at 52,069 miles.
The
current MOT is valid until August 2023 and records just one minor advisory for a
worn OSR tyre. Ready to be enjoyed, these Ian Callum designed beauties offer
much in terms of looks, brand and speed for Mondeo money.
