Doncaster in June 2001, this ever so smart 2nd Generation S160 series
Lexus GS300 is finished in Desert Quartz and sits on its original 17” five-spoke
alloy wheels shod with Bridgestone tyres.
Under
the bonnet, we find the legendary Toyota 2JZ-GE engine in 24-valve 3.0 litre
naturally aspirated form with sequential electronic fuel injection which
develops 225bhp and 305NM of torque, driving the rear wheels via five-speed
A650E automatic transmission with steering wheel buttons.
Inside the well appointed and luxurious cabin, we find swathes of
soft cream ‘Suffolk’ leather, wood trim, electric seat adjustment with driver
memory, cruise control, automatic climate control with AC, Lexus in-car
entertainment with sat nav, as well as Lexus Premium Sound System with
radio/cassette and CD changer, heated seats, parking sensors, electric glass
sunroof, vehicle stability control, head lamp wash, electric windows and
electric mirrors.
This smart example shows just
41,790 miles, presenting beautifully and was driven up to from South Wales by
our vendor who has enjoyed the car since purchase in 2019 when it showed just
19,000 miles. The first owner kept
the car from new until his death in 2019 when it passed to the executor of the
Will and then to our vendor.
The history file
includes the V5C, a note from the vendor confirming the ownership history and
also detailed information regarding the history of the car. The first owner looks to have not
originally stamped the book, however the supplying dealer was kind enough to
send the servicing information to our vendor which included a timing belt change
in 2014 at 11,426 miles.
During our vendor’s
tenure, he maintained the car well including a full service in November 2019,
new front pads in 2020, another major service by Lexus Bristol in 2021 at 27,275
miles followed by new front discs and pads a month later by Lexus Bristol, four
new Bridgestone tyres in 2022 and another service by Lexus, Bristol in Sept-22
at 37,652 miles with supporting invoices.
We
also find the owner’s pack, service book with two stamps and three old MOTs in
