Just 12,259 miles with seven services to date; three owners; rare
unadulterated condition
First registered in December 2005, this
highly original MR2 Mk3 has covered only 12,259 miles in the hands of
three owners and is in wonderfully unmolested condition
throughout.
As you would expect from such a low mileage example, it
presents well both inside and outside, the seats, dash and steering wheel all
look to be in top condition. On the outside there are a couple of very minor
age-related marks but nothing that jumps out (see photos). It comes with
a rare factory colour-coded hardtop, with custom fitted hardtop
cover.
The service book has seven stamps, the last full service
by Toyota Cardiff in March 2022 since when the car has covered
fewer than 1,000 miles. It has an MOT until March 2024 with just a few
minor advisories.
Weighing in at one metric tonne, the MR2 has a
mid-rear mounted 1.8-Litre VVTI engine producing 138bhp and a useful 126lb-ft of
torque driving the rear wheels via 6-speed manual transmission. The
quick-revving engine feeling perfectly at home in this chassis and the MR2 is
widely rated as one of the best-handling budget sportscars ever made.
