Super example; repainted about 5 years ago; coming from a large
private collection; lots to like!
This lovely
Rover P5B was first registered in October 1971 and we are told that it was
treated to a lot of work and a full respray in 2019-2020, although there are no
invoices to document this and show exactly what was done.
Between
1996 and 2009 it was looked after by Ely Service in Cambridgeshire, visiting
them each year for an annual service and inspection, seemingly with no expense
spared, judging from the invoices on file.
The
history folder also contains workshop manuals and invoices for some minor
remedial work including new door and boot seals in 2021. There are also 20 old
MOTs showing that any failures were promptly dealt with before a re-test.
The last MOT was issued in April 2018 with no advisories recorded and the car
has only covered around 1,200 miles since.
As you
can see in the photos, it looks very smart indeed, with a nicely preserved
burgundy leather interior and reassuringly straight and solid bodywork. The
light grey paint also looks very smart although there are a few microblisters
here and there on close inspection.
Coming to us
from a large private collection, it has been starting promptly and running
nicely as we have moved it around on site. Far superior to most Rover P5Bs that
we see, this stately saloon is well worth a look at the attractive guide price
suggested.
